Our Story
Color House Denver formerly known as “Do the Bang Thing Salon” was founded in January 2011.
Not long after operating in a home studio our owner Toby knew she was cultivating the beginnings of something great. In ten short years Color House Denver has become Denver’s Premier Color Salon with the drive and desire to make every single person who sits in their chair feel more confident than they did when they arrived.

Do the Bang Thing Salon’s expansion began in 2013 when we found a new home in a studio suite setting that eventually became two chairs.
In 2015 we expanded into our first commercial space on Yale and i25, this space held 6 chairs and a massage therapy room.
Grew into to full brick and mortar building in 2016 on South Broadway!

Where we are now…
It goes without saying that 2020 was a hard year for everyone. Our small business faced a
seven week mandated closure, the world faced a global pandemic, and individually we all
had more time on our hands and time at home than any of us had experienced since we
were small children on summer break. After COVID dramatically changed operations and
we too were on the brink of change.
2021 brought the end of our SOBO lease.
Little did we know that that was the last lease we would ever sign. In the quest to find a new location another option was brought to our attention. We were able to purchase a building!
Literally built with COVID in mind.
In efforts of being socially conscious our newly designed salon located in Englewood, Colorado has it’s eighteen stations spaced six feet apart, self styling stations, with all new amenities our stunning 3100 sq ft salon is ready to welcome you in.
